Research Abstract |
The objectives of our research are to develop a new method of processing the attributes of ceramics by computer and contribute to the progress in ceramics study. We have Built two applications. One is a new information processing technology for extracting various attributes of ceramics or drawing vessels, which consists of the vessel drawing analysis application and the vessel volume calculation application and another is the color analysis application for analyzing ceramics body color. The vessel drawing analysis application consists of the following five sections. Image display section displays the image which is currently being processed. In image operation section, you can enlarge, reduce, and UNDO/REDO the operation. You can carry out main operation in "Operation tab section". This section consists of four tabs, that is, file, processing, analysis, and others. Image information section displays the information of the image which is currently being displayed. Thumbnail image section displays the list of thumbnail images saved in the folder. You can read the file by double-clicking the mouse. We have created a Japanese medieval ceramics database using the Oracle engine with the data etc. analyzed by our application.
