Achievements of the research included a scientific article focused on the promotion and use of tourist oriented built for disaster purpose mobile applications published in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The COVID-19 outbreak partially influenced the research activities as we focused on the pandemic and tourists. Thus, another paper, entitled “From epidemics to pandemic: Research suggestions to support tourism-destinations” was submitted to the Journal Tourism Management Perspectives, and has been accepted for publication. Furthermore, two conference papers “Planning holidays during a pandemic: A study on tourist planned behavior,” and “The Role of Foreign Employees in Disaster Risk Communication: The Case of Japanese Ryokan Accommodation” were published in Proceedings of the Japan Society for Tourism Studies, 2020. Another paper, “Post pandemic cross generational travel intentions” is currently under review in Annals of Tourism Research.
