Outline of Annual Research Achievements

コロナのさらなる感染拡大により継続された、外出および移動の制限、それから世界的に派生した、生産活動と物流の混乱により、真空装置の改良設計を行い、令和4年3月までに、真空装置の改良部分の発注、真空装置の改良部分の構築を行う予定までには到達できなかったが、その中においても下記の活動を行った。
引き続き、サファイア鏡基材の上にコーティングされたTa2O5/SiO2誘電多層膜で構成される高性能鏡に吸着した水分子の低温における 脱離エネルギーを計測するための実験系の構築を行った。特に本年度は、真空タンク内光学系の構築を行った。さらに、前年度懸案となった、乾燥窒素の消費を低減し、実験室への放出による窒素中毒への懸念を根絶するための空間閉回路を作成したが、光学部品そのものから放出される微小な水分が残存する問題に対しベイキング等の手法で改善を行った。前年度までに構築した真空系に対し、さらに、外部光軸常板上光学系も真空内に内包し、極力窒素ガス中を通過しない校正とすべく、真空系の改良設計を行った。さらに、水分子そのものではなく、水分子が付着したサファイア鏡基材の昇温に焦点を置いた水分子脱離化実験に必要なレーザーとそのレーザー光学系を新たに構築した。

2020年度に引き続き2021年度も、コロナ禍による行動制限に加え、世界的な物流の混乱による、物品調達がままならない支障が発生したため。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

真空系の改良と再構築を行った後、水分子だけに特異的に吸収するレーザー波長による、水分子脱離実験と、サファイア鏡基材自身の高速昇温による脱ガス実験を開始する。その前に、まずは、そのようなレーザーが、薄膜コーティングそのものにたいするダメージの影響がないかの確認から開始する。
