Outline of Annual Research Achievements

引き続き、サファイア鏡基材の上にコーティングされたTa2O5/SiO2誘電多層膜で構成される高性能鏡に吸着した水分子の低温における脱離エネルギーを計測するための実験系の構築と改造を行った。前年度までに構築した水分子への直接的な吸収を引き起こす波長3um光学系に加え、鏡基材への直接的熱吸収による基材自身の急速昇温を目指した波長1.5um光学系の光学系を、前者と併用できる形で構築した。今までは、鏡へ入射した重力波望遠鏡で使用される波長1064nmのレーザー光線を、3um光学系からのレーザー光線と同じ位置に入射することで、鏡の表面の水分子の脱離状態を1064nmレーザー光線の透過光量の増加をもってモニターしていたが、それに加え、真空装置内の水分子の脱離状況をモニターするための質量分析器を設置し、水分子の脱離の状況をガス量の視点からもモニターできるように改善し、透過率の改善と離脱分子量の関係を見いだせるようにした。さらに、重力波望遠鏡では、鏡基材は、振り子状に懸架され、熱伝導体による熱伝導に関しては孤立している系になっているため、それを再現するように、サファイアファイバーを使って懸架し、現実に近い設定を施した。また1.5um系のレーザーによる基材の直接昇温に関し、入射レーザーパワーと基材の昇温状況の関係が見いだせるよう、温度モニター系の構築も行った。さらに、漂着物があると、1064nmレーザー照射に対し、前方散乱も観察されることが予想されるため、その前方散乱をモニターするための真空内用の光検出器の設置も行った。
