Outline of Annual Research Achievements

結氷・融解過程を支配する氷縁域では、波浪と海氷が活発に相互作用し、氷盤分布をはじめとして波浪が海氷の構造に重要な役割を果たす。しかし、力学的な波浪海氷相互作用の詳細は未だ解明されていない。そこで本研究では、氷縁域における、海氷の形成と崩壊、海氷下の波浪の伝搬減衰に関する、波浪海氷相互作用機構を解明し、モデル化することを目的とする。そのために、１）氷海造波水槽実験、２）極域波浪海氷観測、３）サブグリッドスケールモデリングを実施した。
1）確立した造波製氷技術を用いて氷塊を製氷し、異なる波浪条件で海氷下波浪伝搬特性を考察した。規則波からわずかにスペクトルバンド幅を広げた変調不安定波の発達から、強い散逸に誘起された非線形相互作用によるスペクトルダウンシフトが計測された。この結果は、2020年にオホーツク海で観測された特異なスペクトルダウンシフト（Waseda et al. 2022）と関係があると思われる。
２）2021、2022海洋地球研究船「みらい」北極海航海にて、レーダー、波浪ブイ、ステレオカメラ、しぶき計測など、第63次、第64次南極地域観測隊（2021-2022-2023)にて、砕氷艦「しらせ」による波浪ブイ、ステレオカメラ、しぶき計測など、そして、2022巡視艇「そうや」によるオホーツク海波浪ブイ計測などを実施した。そして、北海道ウトロにおける現場海氷観測、ドローン海氷撮影を2021、2022に実施した。
３）氷海造波水槽を模擬した数値水槽を構築し、熱力学モデル、氷晶成長モデルの開発を行っている。また、高次スペクトル法による位相解像波浪モデルに海氷影響を導入し、非線形伝達関数の計算を行った。今後サブグリッドスケールモデルとして活用する。
