Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project examined both the creation (composition) and the demonstration (including not only in the traditional performance forms, but also of the "performances" by computers) assisted by computer, from the viewpoints of the compositional techniques and the performances of contemporary art music at the methodological levels, and tried to bring to fruition in the actual works based on those examinations.
Such as the classifications of real-time computer processing methods involving some kinds of sensing from theoretical and technical points of view (treatments of various parameters), the applicability to creation by reconsidering those classifications themselves as methodological foundations, and the possibilities of creation handled, in composite or somewhat interdependent manners, by the compositional models related to CAC ("computer-aided composition") and also by the language in electroacoustic music, were inspected and confirmed their effectiveness.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

作曲専門領域における創作へのコンピュータの援用は、(時に複雑極まる)音響的構築物の形成に先立ち、通常の分析的な視点と構成論的な観点とを個々の創作レベルで予め併せ持つことを(ある程度の音楽的水準で)可能とする。仮に全くの機械的なシステムを設定したとしても、その個々のアウトプットの微妙な差異を見分ける(聴き分ける)身体感覚を、職業的音楽家は持つであろう。東京藝大作曲科における教育水準での応用(カリキュラムとして設定)や生み出される作品の質として、波及効果が期待される。コロナ禍と重なった研究期間の応急処置として導入した機材環境による新たな発表のあり方等含め、社会との繋がりを促進することも見込まれる。
