Outline of Final Research Achievements	In 2015, a longitudinal study was conducted to survey ninth-grade students and their mothers, resulting in responses from 1854 pairs. The follow-up phase of the study in 2017 obtained responses from 1499 students and 1588 mothers. Since 2019, this research project has consistently sought information on post-high school career trajectories and various aspects of student life through web surveys. As a result, in response to the widespread impact of the novel coronavirus, we incorporated questions related to COVID-19 into our surveys. Consequently, we created a panel dataset consisting of eight time-points: December 2019, February, July, and December 2020, as well as August and December 2021. This dataset was utilized to assess educational opportunity inequality and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of young individuals.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements	中学3年から大学進学後までの長期のパネル調査から，社会的格差・不平等が生成されるメカニズムやプロセスについての分析が可能となるデータセットが構築された．母親についても調査を行っていることから，より生活かつ詳細な社会経済的背景変数を用いることができるデータとなっている．このデータは社会階層や教育社会学に関する学術的な研究に用いられるだけではなく，今後公開されることによって格差・不平等に関するエビデンス創出に役立てることができる．さらに新型コロナウイルス前から調査を継続しているため，たとえばどのような人々でメンタルヘルスが悪化したのかを分析可能な貴重なデータを得ることができた．
