Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research project aimed to develop principles of task design for promoting students’ collaborative mathematical inquiry in school mathematics. We built on a design-based research methodology to construct a framework for conducting task design research. We then proceeded with this project following this framework, such as specifying the targeted learning goals and constructing task design principles based on the literature. We examined the constructed principles by conducting empirical studies implementing designed tasks to students.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

教科教育学では，近年，教科の本質に即した「真正な学び」の重要性が主張されており，算数・数学科における関連の活動として「協働型探究活動」がある。本研究では，この協働型探究活動を促進するための課題の設計原理を開発した。本研究で開発した原理は，研究を越えて新たな課題を作り出したり，設計済みの課題をクラスの状況に応じて柔軟に調整したりする際の指針となることが期待される。
