Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は反転対称性が破れた磁性体に予想されるマグノンの非相反伝播(順方向伝播と逆方向伝播の不等価性)の確認、並びにその外場制御の可能性の探索を最終目標にしている。研究計画はi)非相反マグノン物質群の微視的機構解明、ii)新非相反マグノン物質の探索と発見、iii)マグノン分散に対する電場等の外場効果の確認からなっている。2021年度はi), ii), iii)のそれぞれについて以下の研究を行った。
iおよびii) 初年度、および2021年度における探索および合成研究の結果見出された新候補物質Cu2(MoO4)(SeO3)に関して、中性子回折および単結晶中性子非弾性散乱を行った。この結果、この物質が確かに擬一次元物質であること、一方、弱い三次元性により低温で磁気秩序すること等が明らかとなった。さらに非弾性散乱からはスピンハミルトニアンパラメータが推定された。これらの結果は現在論文として投稿準備中である。(協力者Piyawongwattanaおよび分担者那波との共同研究)
iii) 理論的な進展として磁気点群の多極子による整理とその輸送現象分類が完成した(分担者速水)。新たな原理による非相反マグノンの可能性の探索も進んでいる。実験的には a-cu2V2O7において、磁気転移に伴う臨界的な磁気電気結合が観測された(協力者 Piyawongwattana 分担者木村らとの共同研究)これらの研究により非相反マグノン物質群の微視的な理解が大きく進んだ。
