Outline of Annual Research Achievements

初年度は,ダイヤモンドアンビルセルと光学顕微鏡を用いる事により,各種蛍光体試料の蛍光スペクトル,残光減衰曲線の評価測定系を構築することができた.この測定系を活用して,まずイットリウムアルミニウムガリウムガーネット(YAGG)結晶中のCe3+イオンの長残光特性の圧力依存性を評価した.Ce3+:5d-4f遷移による蛍光波長は圧力印可でレッドシフトを示し,残光減衰寿命は残光発現のために電子トラップとして共添加導入したCr3+やYb3+イオンの種類によって,長くなる場合と短くなる場合があった.圧力印可に伴うホストの伝導帯エネルギーの上昇と3dと4f電子軌道の違いによる説明考察を行い,ほぼ論文は完成しており,投稿準備中である.また北海道大学の鱒渕准教授との共同研究で,提供試料であるBaCN2結晶ホストにおける,高圧印可でのEu2+:5d軌道結晶場分裂による蛍光波長の異常に大きなレッドシフトすることを見出した.この成果は応用物理学会英文論文誌であるAPEX誌に論文受理出版された(Y. 2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

光学顕微鏡と組み合わせることにより,ダイヤモンドアンビルセルを用いた蛍光スペクトル,残光減衰曲線の測定系を構築することができた.高圧印可でのEu2+:5d軌道結晶場分裂による蛍光波長の異常に大きなレッドシフトの発見をAPEX誌に論文が受理出版され,その他窒化物,酸化物結晶とのシフト幅の比較,ホスト材料の体積弾性率との負の相関についての成果論文を執筆,投稿準備中である.またYAGG:Ce3+試料の長残光特性の圧力変化についても投稿準備中である.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

希土類だけでなく,高圧下で結晶場強度の変化により大きな光物性変化が期待できる,3d遷移金属を発光中心とする蛍光体についても取り組む.また引き続き,固体バンド構造の変調に伴う物性変化も継続的に追求する.
