Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は,動脈硬化が進行している対象者において効果的な骨粗しょう症予防のための介入方法の模索,および高齢期の抑うつに関連するPAの種類と強度の把握等を通じて,サルコペニア肥満の臨床的な特徴を検討した(1).分析対象者は動脈硬化指標に頸動脈大腿動脈間脈波伝搬速度の中央値を用いてHigh群とLow群に分割した.年齢とBMIを共変量とした偏相関分析の結果,High群において身体活動の指標では歩数と骨密度が有意な正の相関を示し,栄養摂取の指標では不飽和脂肪酸およびビタミンE摂取量が骨密度と正の相関を示した.このことから,動脈硬化が進行している対象者では,歩数や不飽和脂肪酸,およびビタミンEの摂取が骨粗しょう症予防に有益である可能性が示唆された.また,高齢期の抑うつに関連する身体活動量(PA)の種類と強度を客観的に把握するため,PAの種類分類(Locomotive PA,Non-locomotive PA)が可能な3軸加速度計でPAの種類,強度を測定し,抑うつとの関連を横断的に検討した(2).対象は地域に在住する65歳以上の女性143名であった.共分散分析の結果,座位時間と抑うつには正の関連,Non-locomotive PA,LPA,Non-locomotive LPAと抑うつには負の関連を認めた.(1) Hamaguchi et al. Reason

現在までの進捗状況としては,立命館大学における疫学的調査フィールドから500名の被験者を用いて,各種疾病アウトカム,身体活動量,体組成を調査・測定し,日本人のサルコペニア肥満該当者に特有の候補遺伝子多型を網羅的解析によって複数同定するとともに,サルコペニア肥満の遺伝リスクをスコア化した.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今後は,新たに300名の被験者を募集し,合計800名を対象に,保有するサルコペニア肥満遺伝リスク数とサルコペニアリスクおよび肥満リスクとの関連に対して運動習慣および食習慣の違いが及ぼす影響について横断的に検討する.
