Outline of Final Research Achievements

On June 12, 2022, we invited Professor M.Susan.Lindee of Pennsylvania State University and held a historical review of the international symposium "Atomic Bomb Report". In March 2023, the final report consisting of 11 papers by the principal investigator and co-investigators will be published, "Study of Atomic Bomb Report" (Gendai Shiryo Shuppan, March 2023, ISBN978-4-87785-384-6 ) as a collection of academic papers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

研究報告書として刊行した『原爆報道の研究』は、最初の原爆報道に関する総合的な学術研究書であるとともに、これまでの先行研究を大きく訂正する内容を持った論文集である。これまでの原爆報道、原水爆禁止運動、原爆白書運動について先行研究を大きく修正するとともに、被爆者を埋葬した似島問題等、これまで等閑に付されていた問題についても実態を明らかにするなど、学界に問題を提起するとともに、大きく学問的に進展させる内容となった。
