Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題では、電子デバイス、情報処理端末の高性能化、超低消費電力化に革新をもたらす技術へと発展することを期待し、スピントロニクスにおいてこれまで開拓されていないノンコリニア(非共線的)な磁気構造の持つ機能性とその利用方法を明らかにすることを通して、スピントロニクスの新たなパラダイム「ノンコリニアスピントロニクス」を開拓することを目指して研究を推進した。カイラルスピン構造の電流駆動や、仮想磁場の機能性素子応用などに取り組み、不揮発性メモリ、脳型情報処理の新基盤を構築する。
最終年度となった2023年度は2022年度までで構築したノンコリニア材料の作製技術と基本物性、動的特性に関する知見、理解を基礎に、ノンコリニア磁気構造に付随した新規物理現象や新デバイス機能の開拓に関する研究を推進した。具体的な成果として、
(1) ノンコリニア反強磁性体の磁気八極子と強磁性体の磁気双極子のスピン軌道トルクへの応答様式の違いの解明。(2) ノンコリニア反強磁性体と非磁性重金属の界面に形成される特殊なスピン構造を介した量子計量の室温制御。(3) 磁性材料で形成したナノスケールノンコリニア磁気構造ジャイロイドの磁気構造のマイクロマグネティック計算による予測。(4) テンプレートを用いた単結晶ジャイロイド試料の作製方法の構築。
などを得た。
