Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the last year, I have fabricated crossbar array sensor devices with multi-element composition spreading oxide layer, and crossbar array sensor devices with multi-SAM modified oxide layer. The devices have thousand-bit sensors array, which can provide high accuracy with reliability. Both of the devices have been checked through sensing response measurements.In crossbar array sensor, we successfully observed the resistance difference between different oxide layer which suggested that our measurement system can obtain the resistance variation correctly. Meanwhile, by measuring the exhaled breath, we observed the disparity in individual based on the resistance variation from our system. Moreover, we successfully distingguished people is drinking or not.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Although, we have checked the feasibility of measurment system, the result did not reach our expectations. The existing problems that we have to overcome are: (1)the resistance given by the measurement system at each point was affected by the side point, this lead to the uncorrect value of device. (2)the long-term stability of device is limited in the device without SAM modifications. (3)due to the high resistance of metal connecting line, the optimization is needed.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
To overcome the problems above mentioned, we plan to do the following process: (1)to correct the uncorrect value of device resistance, we will carefully check the measure system including circuit and calculation. (2)to enhance the stability of device, the SAM modification will be used for surface protection and surface cleaning. (3)to reduce the high resistance of metal line, the new structure of device is under considering. In this year, we are planning to analyze data by machine learning. After collecting and analyzing various exhaled breath, we are going to distinguish the tiny difference from person to person. Moreover, we are going to distinguish the tiny difference from one person at different body conditions.
