Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
We have successfully built a multicolor and multimodal imaging system which combines the SRS imaging and the confocal fluorescence imaging, where the Raman wavenumber and the excitation and detection wavelength of fluorescence can be controlled frame-by-frame at video-rate. By exploiting this advanced imaging system, we have demonstrated two applications as following, which can be attractive for a wide field of researchers. 1.Multicolor Stimulated Raman and Fluorescence Imaging for Investigating Lipid Metabolism 2.High-speed Super-multiplex Organelle Imaging In spite of the several international conference presentations have been given, we are now preparing the journal manuscript about (2) which is also the research theme of this JSPS project.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
To complete the research topic of 'High-speed Super-multiplex Organelle Imaging for interactome analysis', we have built a multicolor and multimodal imaging system with fast programmable tunability. By exploiting this advanced imaging system, we demonstrated fast super-multiplex organelle imaging with high-speed color switching and acquisition, which accelerates the imaging speed by 2 orders of magnitude. We applied it in imaging cytometry, tracing mitosis and fast organelle motions in live cells. We anticipate that high-speed super-multiplex optical imaging can expand to a much wider field of biological researches.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In spite of the several international conference presentations have been given, we are now preparing the journal manuscript about 'High-speed Super-multiplex Organelle Imaging for interactome analysis' which is also the research theme of this JSPS project. Besides, we are going to develop the research topic of 'Multicolor Stimulated Raman and Fluorescence Imaging for Investigating Lipid Metabolism' further. Another journal paper to investigate the localization of multiple components up to five during cellular metabolism in live cells is desired, which can be a helpful method to research complex biomedical processes.
