Outline of Annual Research Achievements

This year, we have worked on the theme of ‘ super-multiplex biological imaging’ mainly towards super-multiplex super-resolution imaging. Via applying the technology of photoswitchable stimulated Raman scattering microscopy developed before which is also a part of this project, we successfully demonstrate super-resolution stimulated Raman scattering imaging with high chemical specificity. Meanwhile, the newly developed photoswitchable Raman probe enable us to target certain kind of intracellular organelle for meaningful biological imaging. The evaluated spatial resolution has broken the diffraction limitation in the circumstance of vibrational imaging. Both the narrow linewidth and super-resolution property shows the developed technique as an important step towards final super-multiplex super-resolution imaging.
