Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The art in Renaissance Italy is characterised by the emergence of unique artistic styles in various cities, which developed into dynamic interrelation with each other. In the period known as the High Renaissance, artists such as Raphael and Michelangelo created artistic styles that would be later recognised as normative in Italy and the whole Western tradition. This study focuses on Pietro Perugino, who was active in the period just prior to the High Renaissance, and vividly demonstrates how the artistic styles spread over a wide area, encompassing not just a single city but a significant portion of Italy.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
