Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Decrease of demand for traditional crafts in Kyushu area brings a decline in a producing center of the goods. Technology of manufacturing is the pessimistic situation in Japan. Therefore it was important for us to analyze the demand structure. First, we measured the price elasticity and income elasticity by official statistical data. Next, multiple classification analysis method analyzed what kind of purchase motive the purchase frequency influenced using a survey attitudes data, and we showed that the great difference in the consciousness is between the producer and the consumer. Third, this demand was related to the design of the traditional work from survey data, and we showed that social use of media as well as inbound demand is important.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
伝統工芸品に対する産地の調査はインタビューによる意識調査等の傾向分析はあるが、学術的には伝統工芸品の公統計データ及びアンケート調査データを利用した需要構造の計量分析による実証研究は存在しなかった。本研究で得られたこの需要は所得効果が強く、生産者と消費者との間に意識の差があること、財のデザイン、インバウンド需要に加えてソーシャルメディア利用の重要を明らかにしたことは社会的意義がある。
