I've been searching for early books in Italian in many Japanese libraries. Currently I compiled a list of 10 maps, 8 manuscripts, 34 incunabula and 738 early books (printed in 16th century) held in 94 libraries all over Japan. Of all these, around 80 books were already checked and catalogued: most of them held in Kyoto Un., Tenri Un., The Un. of Tokyo, NDL, Kyoto Un. of Foreign Studies, Kyoto Sangyo Un., Kobe Un.

Reason
Corona virus restrictions don't allow me to visit libraries at the moment. I'm keeping quite busy on data entry at the moment, but if these restrictions go much further it could mean a big delay on the research progress.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The plan for the future work is to visit as many libraries as possible as soon as Corona virus restrictions are over and I will be able to visit libraries. In the meanwhile I'll be working on data entry and catalog compiling.

| Causes of Carryover |
Because of the Corona virus issues, I had to delay many visits to libraries. Furthermore, some expenses (laptop and books purchase in Italy) had to be delayed because of the travel ban. I will buy those items as soon as the situation goes back to normality.
