Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the 2019 academic year, the use of AI speakers led to a significant increase in TOEIC practice test scores, confirming the effectiveness of VR and AI speakers in improving English proficiency and motivation. In 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19, online classes became the focus, and the effectiveness of flipped classrooms and active learning was verified, demonstrating the benefits of international exchange with the National University of Singapore. In 2021, a comparison between three-dimensional VR and two-dimensional ZOOM showed that VR was effective in reducing anxiety and increasing motivation for learning English. In 2022, interactive English education utilizing VR and avatars confirmed improvements in intercultural adaptability. In 2023, the effectiveness of AI/ChatGPT in English education was evaluated, summarizing the impacts of flipped classrooms. This research explored the potential of AI and VR in education and provided guidelines for educational improvement.
