Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Partial but substantial processing was done of the video data gathered during two years of online instruction. Ways of rapidly creating sets of teaching materials for the e-learning system adopted (Talent LMS) were refined. Investigations were made of ways in which to complement the e-learning system with an online discussion community were developed and trialed. A framework for relating personal life experiences to particular learner coaching and training goals was developed. Substantial sets of teaching materials were developed and a way of inking these thematically to each other using the note making application Obsidian. A framework for identifying learner language and "whole person" needs and matching these with particular types of teaching material was also developed.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
Since this project is heavily based on classroom experience, two years of online teaching required a radical rethink of this project. In addition, the ways in which Filemaker Pro databases were used has changed radically. This software is now used only for creating materials, while the e-learning system itself is a ready-made commercial system. Since this project was started there have been considerable changes in the software possibilities.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
We are now in the stage of making the project demonstrable and easily usable for colleagues and students, and preparing for a very substantial and detailed report that will be submitted not later than the end of May 2024.
|
Causes of Carryover |
It was necessary to make use of the commercial e-learning platform Talent LMS for another year so as to make it possible for colleagues to be able to use it themselves in the fall of 2023. This was the only substantial expense required for the final stage of the project.
