Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
I negotiated with Chiang Mai Rajabhat University to implement the study, the schedule, research methodology and held meetings with all teachers. I attended several classes. We obtained pre-test, mid-term and lifestyle survey data. (The Coronavirus - unable to receive some data or English proficiency). I am coding the data . I presented a paper at the 26th International Conference on Learning, Learning to Make a Social Difference, 24-26 July 2019 titled How Do CLIL Course Gains Compare to Content Gains in Regular L1 Courses. I have also had a paper published in the International Journal of Learning, 27/1 Do Academic Content Gains from a CLIL Course Compare to Content Gains in a L1 Course? I am in the process of correcting a paper that outlined the methodology for the study.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
The Corona Virus situation across the globe has meant that some of the exit proficiency assessment data cannot be collected or verified. Similarly, the English proficiency data has yet to be received. This data cannot be verified until I can meet with the members at CMRU, hopefully after summer 2020.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
2020/8-2020/10: Meet with members at CMRU to establish remaining data and reliability. If reliability errors emerge (due to corona virus situation) consider additional methodology to evaluate the Research Questions. Code data collected. Conduct preliminary analyses. Identify patterns. Edit methodology paper and resubmit for peer review. 2020/10-2021/02 Submit paper of preliminary analyses for peer review. If output data is established, code and begin analyses. Submit proposal to If Australian International Education Conference 2021 (2020 was deferred) Submit proposal to Learning or Education International Conference 2022

Causes of Carryover |
This is remainder of 2019 balance and will be added to next possible research meeting date or conference in 2021.
