Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The Principal Investigator (PI) has completed both data collection and analysis for a study that examined the use of monolingual (English/English) and bilingual (English/Japanese) digital flashcards in vocabulary learning among intermediate-level English language learners, completing the main purpose of the project. Findings were presented at the Vocab@Victoria conference in New Zealand. These results are pivotal in shaping language learning strategies for Japanese students progressing from beginner to intermediate levels.
The Co-Investigator has furthered his research into the positive psychology and language learning, focusing on the impact of self-efficacy and grit on learning outcomes. His latest findings were shared at an international conference in Hawaii, USA, in March 2024.
