The project resulted in an edited volume and a book chapter. The book chapter most closely related to the grant project: investigated multi-faceted aspects of vocabulary and oral ability. The chapter supported the mult-faceted construct of vocabulary production either orally or in written production. The study includes a comparison of the spoken output of the participant group with output from the Lex30 task, using the Academic Spoken Word List (ASWL; Dang et al 2017). The study also explores the various ‘vocabulary skills’ of the participant group. This suggests that delays in speech, or delays in response, relate to the vocabulary knowledge available to the specific proficiencies. Studies should explore whether findings can be replicated with different proficiencies.
