前年度に西洋史研究会大会のシンポジウムで行った教皇によるモンゴルへの使節派遣に関する報告は、論文「西欧とモンゴルの間におけるコミュニケーション―宣教・外交における翻訳・通訳をめぐる問題―」として『西洋史研究』新輯52に掲載された。
5月にはイタリア・ルッカで開催された国際研究集会Missionari Martiri e Cristiani. Nascosti in Giappone. 300 anni di eroica fedelta a Cristoに参加し、ドミニコ会士A.オルスッチの宣教活動と日本観を史料から明らかにした"La spiritualita della missione e del martirio in Angelo Orsucci"と題する報告を行った。これは、Paolo Giulietti, Olimpia Niglio (eds.), THESAURUM FIDEI Missionari martiri e cristiani nascosti in Giappone. Trecento anni di eroica fedelta a Cristo. Atti del convegno internazionale (Lucca, 6-7 maggio 2023), Edizioni La Villa 2023に所収の"Il Giappone per Angelo Orsucci"と題する論文として公刊された。
7月にはドイツ・ヴッパータール大学で開催された中世教皇権とモンゴルに関する国際研究集会The Papacy and the Mongolian reigns in the 13th and 14th Centuriesに参加し、モンゴル宣教に関わる教皇文書においてキリスト教信仰がどのように説明されたか、また教皇がどのように教皇や教皇座を表現したかについて、"Explaining the Christian faith in the papal letters to the Mongols"と題する報告を行った。同報告は、共著の書籍に所収される論文として刊行される予定である。
11月には史学会第121回大会西洋史部会シンポジウム「中世後期の教皇と文書」において、教皇のモンゴル君主宛書簡の分析に基づく「非キリスト教圏君主宛教皇文書にみる自他の呼称」と題する報告を行った。
