Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
To date I have completed the collection of case materials for Canada and Japan. I have written draft papers outlining my findings on each of them. I have been accepted as a presenter at the Law and Development Institute's 2020 conference to be held in November to present the results of the paper (tentatively titled The Courts and Corporate Executive Compensation in Canada) based on the Canadian research.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have been able to make good progress with the Canadian and Japanese data as outlined above.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I will be submitting separate papers on the Canadian and Japanese for publication later in 2020 (as noted, the Canadian paper will be presented at a conference in November). After that I will focus on collecting American and UK cases, which I have not yet begun.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The majority of the funds for the next year will pay for my travel to Hamburg Germany to present at the International Law and Development Institute Conference in November. Due to the Coronavirus however it is very unclear if that travel will be possible (at the time of submitting this report the conference is still planned to go on as schedule) which may necessitate a change in plan.
