Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The research has resulted in two papers which have been accepted for publication in peer reviewed journals.
The first, looking at executive compensation in Canadian courts, was published as ‘The Courts and Executive Compensation in Canada’ 14(2) Law and Development Review 753 (2021). The second, which looks at Japan, is being published as ‘Pay Fight! Corporate Director Compensation Disputes in Japanese Courts and What to Make of Them’ 53 Journal of Japanese Law 109 (2022). Please refer to the papers for their concrete results.
The results of the Canadian research were presented at the Law and Development Conference (Nov. 2021), while the results of the Japanese research were presented at the Asian Law Institute Conference (Sept. 2021), both online.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The results have proceeded relatively smoothly. The main problems have related to Covid 19, which has limited my ability to present the research in person (limited to online conferences).
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In the final year (which was extended due to covid) I plan to further present the results of the research at one international conference.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The main planned expense for this year will be travel expenses to present the research at an international conference.
