Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to reexamine the concept of "subjectivity" in modern and contemporary political theory and to consider new ways of political subjectivity and political practice, through the ethics of care and the theory of care democracy. In the first place, I investigated ethics of care and the theory of civil society and then examined caring democracy. Next, I researched on the relationship between care and justice, which has been a challenge in care ethics. As a result, it was found that it is possible to connect care and justice by understanding humans as vulnerable beings. Finally, I have come to focus on the potential of citizens' associations as an enabling concept of caring democracy.
