This project investigates the relationship between sustainability reporting and firm performance. Thus far, the preliminary result from top Japanese firms indicates that a positive relationship may exist.

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
Due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, field studies were slightly delayed.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
A plan for conducting field studies has been made during the summer (July and August 2022) aiming to facilitate data collection and to conduct field study. The research progress is therefore expected to speed up.

The plan to use the remaining fund is as follows:
1. Conduct international field studies,
2. Conclude the results.
