Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we aimed to develop a tool to support students in noticing problems and points to be improved in the design stage of woodworking practice. Specifically, we developed a support tool using AR/VR technology, which has been used in various situations in recent years, to help students realize their concepts and notice problems and points to be improved. We believe that by noticing problems and points to be improved at an early stage in the design phase, students can generate a small PDCA cycle and enhance their problem-solving abilities.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は,力覚呈示装置を利用したVR技術とAR技術を組み合わせて学校現場に持ち込み,生徒の問題解決能力の向上を図るという点で,従来見られなかった試みである。教育現場での活用を試み,その検証を行うことは,現在,ゲーム等で広く利用されつつあるVR・AR技術の活用範囲を更に押し広げる上で極めて有意義なものである。また,ICTを活用した問題解決能力の向上という点においても有用な先行事例となる。
