Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to clarify the significance of music education, which respects children’s cultural diversity, based on the viewpoint of intercultural education in Japan and Germany. Results indicate that the social environment, which has many cultural education programs with sustainability, is important. And also, the findings show that music education has meaning, such as increasing children’s positive mood; this meaning differs from linguistic education. Furthermore, it is essential to support JSL children in understanding communicative intention in the classroom.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は外国人児童生徒を取り巻く学校と地域の双方からかれらの音楽科教育の重要性を示した。音楽科教育が音楽の知識・技能を獲得することにとどまらず、達成感や満足感などの感情に関わる肯定的な影響を与えるとともに、教科学習として学習言語の育成に寄与する視点を提示したことは大きな意義がある。外国人児童生徒を含むすべての子どもが適切に学ぶことのできる環境を構築するために、音楽科教師が教室内発話に意識を向けることの重要性を示唆した。
