Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study focuses on competencies established by the German Sachunterricht (Living Environment Studies) by considering the connection with subsequent history and science subjects. The unique history and natural science competencies of Living Environment Studies were established by comparing and examining the curriculum and practical examples used for Sachunterricht and Living Environment Studies. We attempted to develop Living Environment Studies lessons and an evaluation model to foster these competencies as a foundation of scientific knowledge. The study clarified that Living Environment Studies education cultivates the foundations of social and natural scientific awareness in an integrated manner. This is achieved by converging the functions of cognitive and non-cognitive competencies. It is a new outlook to overcome the current issues with Living Environment Studies education in Japan.

体験的学習の原理を損なうことなく、社会科や理科での学習への接続を可能にする生活科独自のコンピテンシーを特定し、それらを育成する生活科授業や評価モデルはどのように開発しうるのかということが学術的問いである。本研究では、この問いに応え、コンピテンシーの設定とそれを育成する生活科授業と評価モデルを開発し、生活科教育研究の転換を図ることは、教育的にも学術的にも極めて意義が高いというのが学術的背景である。
