Outline of Final Research Achievements

Several lesson plans for disaster education were developed by university students who studied in the disaster-affected areas. The psychological transition of the students during the development process was also clarified. The lessons were also arranged to be practicable under the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, an event for parents and children combining disaster prevention and space was planned and implemented based on the students' ideas.
In the disaster prevention classes given by experts, it became clear that the sustainability of the effects of disaster prevention education and its spread to families differed depending on the residential area and grade level of the target children. In addition, it was found that learning at a science museum, which is different from a school, made the effects of disaster education more sustainable.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
