Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examined the effect of the portable projector stimulus prompt strategy on wiping desk performance of an elementary-aged student with autism spectrum disorder whose social age was 1 year 8 months. In the strategy the student's favorite character was projected on the surface of the desk. The projected character, which was related to germ, was blown out contingent on engaging in wiping tasks. A multiple-treatment design revealed that the portable projector stimulus prompt strategy enhanced the student's wiping skills. Additionally, the student showed more positive affects and less task refusal behaviors during the intervention condition.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
