Outline of Final Research Achievements |
For face-to-face collaborative learning, we constructed methods for extracting the relationship between nonverbal behaviors of learners and cooperation. Specifically, we constructed (i) methods for detecting non-verbal motion using a glasses-type device and/or image processing, and (ii) a time-series model for expressing the interaction between behaviors of learners. Furthermore, we constructed a method to clarify the relationship between the parameters in the time series model and the cooperation between the learners, and confirmed their effectiveness by experiments.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
協調学習の目的は,授業に対する学習者の理解を深めつつ,グループとしての協調性を高めることである.しかしながら,教員が即時にかつ定量的に多数のグループの協調性を把握することは困難である.本課題では,(i) 非言語動作の検出手法の構築,(ii) 非言語動作に対する時系列モデルの構築,(iii) 時系列モデルにおけるパラメータと協調性の関係を抽出するための手法の構築などの成果を得ており,これら研究成果は協調学習の自動的な評価に応用可能である.
