Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to contribute to the continuity of disaster education in school education, the concept of time based on diachronic thinking was assumed to be a common ability required for disaster education and science education. Learning materials for geoscience, chemistry, and biology were explored and made into teaching materials for diachronic and step-by-step exploration and understanding in a variety of time frames. In addition, we have developed an exploratory learning program for volcanic activities directly related to disaster prevention education in junior high school science classes, in which learning items are arranged within the framework of diachronic thinking from viewpoints of rock texture and behavior of volatile components in magma, and confirmed through trial practice that the program is effective in developing diachronic thinking. The results were published in 14 papers (10 peer-reviewed).

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
