Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to investigate factors associated with college students' help-seeking behaviors and university faculty members' attitudes towards recommending the utilization of student counseling services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main research findings are as follows.(1) There are four types of help-seeking orientations among college students: informal support orientation, professional support orientation, family support orientation, and non-support orientation.(2) Increasing the intention of university faculty and staff to recommend the utilization of student counseling services can be effectively achieved by enhancing the perceived usefulness of the support provided by these services.(3) A college student version of the Help-Seeking Intentions Scale was developed, demonstrating reliability and validity.Based on these research findings, a trial version of a psychoeducational program was developed.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
