Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
We finalized data analysis of mass measurements of 123,124Pd and 125Ag isotopes. Now data interpretation and discussion with astrophysicists is ongoing, which is important for elucidation of the r-process. We will prepare manuscript soon. New prototype of DL-E-MCP detector has been tested at HIMAC. We improved the horizontal position resolution by 30% and vertical position resolution by 60%. Initially, the goal was to improve by 70% in both vertical and horizontal. This work in part of my Master student work from University of Surrey and results are already reported in his master thesis.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
We finished data analysis of new masses of 123,124Pd and 125Ag. We improved the performance of our position-sensitive detector and get closer to the initial goal.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
We plan to conduct a second experiment in fall 2021 to measure masses of 125Pd and 126Ag. We plan to test the final version of prototype detector at HIMAC in July and try to improve the resolution further. After HIMAC test we plan to install the detector inside our storage ring before the experiment for mass measurement of 125Pd and 126Ag.
