Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We studied the technologies to establish the method for measuring three-dimensional distributions of velocity vectors based on optical spatial encoding and differential laser Doppler velocimetry. We demonstrated the three-dimensional distribution measurement of a velocity component by developing a 4x4x5-channel experimental setup. We also developed the measurement system for measuring three velocity components for measuring velocity vectors. In addition, we designed Nb2O5/SiO2-based input/output grating couplers with high optical efficiency for integrated waveguide devices.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の提案手法により,3次元空間内の精密な位置情報取得を可能としたファイバ光学系による扱いやすい3次元速度分布計測装置が実現できる.この結果,産業分野や医療分野等,様々な分野への貢献が期待できる.また,光学系を集積化することで,マイクロ流路等の微小領域で高精度に速度分布を計測するための超小型装置の実現が期待でき,創薬等に利用されるマイクロ流体デバイスの開発等に役立てることができる.
