Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, targeting support facilities for persons with disabilities, we clarified the composition of residential space and spatial functions corresponding to daily life from the viewpoints of facility positioning, all private rooms, division of living units, and separation of day and night. In addition, the composition of the facility was examined from the perspective of countermeasures against new coronavirus infection. As a result, we found that there are differences in the support provided depending on the targeted disabilities, that facilities with day/night separation tend to have larger activity rooms, and that there are no differences in the area composition between units and conventional types when it comes to private rooms. In addition, the study showed that private rooms are the most desirable in terms of countermeasures against COVID-19 infection.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
