Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study develops and analyzes game theoretic models based on the knowledge of behavioral economics for strategic decision-making of firms in a supply chain. Theoretical studies on supply chain management that incorporates into the models the presence of consumer's and firm's bias has recently progressed. However, those that focus on operation-marketing interface, such as price and quality choice, and channel and alliance partner selection, have received very little attention. We specifically sheds light on firms' fairness concerns arising from evaluating their profitability and consumer's bias arising from evaluating product values. The results obtained from our model analysis could provide rich insights into firms' decision making in the presence of these biases.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
