Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To enhance captive breeding in polar bears and brown bears, we established spermatogenesis index in males and elucidated follicular development pattern and estrus type in females. Also we determined tools and methods after detail examination of female reproductive organs, and developed ovulation induction method. Further, genetic examination in peripheral blood was suggested as marker for pregnancy during delayed implantation. In addition, I spread and shared theriogenological approach for zoo animal during collaboration with several zoo.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
