Outline of Annual Research Achievements

共同研究者達との神経病理学的に確定したFTLD症例の後方視的研究により、発症後2年以内に出現した精神症状を検索してDistinct early symptoms in neuropathologically proven frontotemporal lobar degenerationというタイトルで英文雑誌に掲載された（International Journal of psychiatry, 2020）。
また、右側頭葉優位型意味性認知症の精神症状について検索し、現在英文雑誌に投稿中である。
FTLDの精神症状の特徴については、2020年12月に開催された日本老年精神医学会の教育講演で報告した。
構築中のデータベースについては、2021年3月にWEBで開催された国際FTD会議（12th International Conference on Frontotemporal Dementias）のシンポジウムで報告した。

Reason

コロナ感染症の蔓延により、専門外来の初診・再診患者が著しく減少した時期もあったが、認知症初期集中支援チームや認知症疾患医療センターなどと連携して、概ね対象のリクルートは順調であった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

当科外来を受診した初老期、老年期以降に精神病様症状で発症した症例のデータベースを構築し、縦断的に検索を続けている。
また、この様な症例群のFTLDの画像バイオマーカー（MRI, SPECT）、血液バイオマーカー（NF-L, C9orf72）の検索を開始している。
