Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A longitudinal study was conducted to assess the nursing skill acquisition by students, from the second year of nursing college, when students learn nursing protection skills in class,to the fourth year, when they graduate as nurses. The workshops were held as an opportunity for students from several universities with different learning backgrounds to think together and learn nursing skills. The workshops had several themes and taught different nursing techniques. A total of 40 nursing students participated in 10 in-person and remote workshops. Participants appreciated the fact that they could implement nursing skills in small groups and immediately clarify doubts with the facilitators, who were also faculty members,and that the topics were important. Overall, the findings of this study suggest that spontaneously repeating nursing skills while discussing them in small groups improves skill acquisition. The findings of this study could help in the development of educational programs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
【本研究の学術的意義】大学横断任意参加型ワークショップを実施し、看護系大学2年生から新卒看護師までを縦断的に調査したことで、看護基礎教育課程での看護技術習得プロセスがいかに看護実践へつながっていくのかという様相を明らかにした。 【社会的意義】看護系大学では学生数が多く、看護技術演習の授業は、限られた時間やスペースで教育せざるを得ない。そういう中、WSで少人数で学生の希望に沿った内容を繰り返し実施して考える機会をつくると、学生が試行錯誤しながら自ら看護技術のコツをつかんでいった。以上から、看護技術演習や練習ができる環境づくりや教育プログラムをつくっていく上での基礎研究として貢献できると考える。
