Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to develop a multi-task test to find high-risk elderly drivers and to examine the possibility of improvement. In this study, we developed a device that combines the task of stepping on the accelerator and brake pedals according to the instructions presented on the screen and the task of operating the cursor with fingers. This study determined three test conditions. We clarified the degree of difficulty among test conditions for the elderly people, and examined the relationship between various physical and cognitive functions, driving confidence, experience of danger while driving, and the presence or absence of advice to refrain from driving from the surroundings. Differences were found in the test results depending on the experience of danger during driving and cognitive function. From the above, it was suggested that the test developed in this study is effective as a screening test for elderly drivers who are at high risk of driving.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
