Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Using significantly renewed microscopic traffic flow simulators including sensors and ITS communication systems from the simulator that our group have developed since 1997, studies on the appropriate evaluation method for ITS information and communication networks including sensors and their traffic accident reduction effect have been conducted. In this research, using the evaluation method of the communication system that evaluates the communication between vehicles that enter within R [m] within T seconds from moment to moment, to avoid the overengineering requirements of the ITS information communication systems, the accident reduction effects of warning-type safety driving support systems using the ITS communication system are evaluated. It also includes the effect of reducing accidents in autonomous driving, and the evaluation of the relationship between "efficiency" and "safety" of traffic flows, including multimode traffic society and super-adaptive signal control methods.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
「コネクテッドカー」に代表される車の情報共有による事故削減効果は、ITS情報通信システムの普及が必要ですが、システムへの要求性能が過大になると実現が難しくなります。本研究ではまず、評価基盤を開発し、本当に必要な通信に限って性能評価するITS通信システムの評価方法を検討し、開発した評価基盤で警告型安全運転支援システムの事故削減効果を評価しました。さらに、マルチモード交通社会や高度に適応的な交通信号制御方式も含めて、信号化交差点における交通流の「効率」と「安全性」の関係も明らかにしました。
