Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we have attempted to depict "atmosphere of cooperative work" defined as the mutual influence of collaborators in the operation of a large-scale system through simultaneous biological measurements among multiple participants. The result revealed that interpersonal neural synchronization fluctuates with the presence of others even in the absence of explicit communication. In addition, in a collaborative task using simultaneous measurement of brain activity and pupil diameter, it was observed that interpersonal neural synchronization and pupil diameter fluctuated separately, reflecting the degree of engagement of the workers in the collaborative task and the existence of a direct cooperative relationship during the task. These results indicate that biological measurements of brain activity and pupil diameter can be used to visualize the "atmosphere of cooperative work".

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
