Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In Japan's inbound policy, in addition to increasing the number of visitors from China, policy for increasing the number of visitors from other regions / countries should be focused on. For this purpose, it is necessary to be aware of how Japan is evaluated from abroad. And, its strengths and weaknesses in competition with surrounding regions / countries should be noticed. Most of the behavioral analysis and consciousness analysis for tourists so far are for tourists who have already visited Japan. In the future, it will be necessary to dig up for potential demand. In this study, in order to make use of it for future inbound marketing policies, (1) we described it using a statistical model of individual travel intention formation factors for residents of Asian regions / countries, and (2) discussed the policy menus, that should be taken in inbound marketing.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
これまでのインバウンド関連研究の多くは来訪者から得られる情報のみにもとづいており,今後必要となる新たな需要層獲得とその戦略を練るための情報が乏しい.今後も,周辺諸国居住者に対する働きかけが必要であり,そのためには,日本に来ない理由の把握と同時に来る理由の把握が必要である.特に本研究で対象とした中国,韓国においてはアクセス性も高く,さらなる潜在需要を発掘する意義は大きく,インバウンド政策を検討することに対して,貴重な成果を提示している.
