Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
1) フランス革命期の恐怖政治から神経臨床学の誕生まての政治的暴力とトラウマ My investigations detail the great historical and anthropological movement of madness and unreason described by Foucault, and focus on the notions of disciplinary and psychiatric power during the 19th century, in France. (1 Presentation, 1 book chapter) 2) 政治的暴力としてのテロ事件を生き残る経験の多様性─2015年ハリ同時多発テロ事件を例に Studies by the WHO and by scholars (e.g. Kidron) has shown over more than a decade that debriefing and narrative therapy (testimony therapy) are counter-indications for trauma/PTSD survivors. However, French “13 novembre” transdisciplinary program’s purpose is to regularly interview Paris 2015’ terrorist attacks survivors until 2028. My investigations critically assess this program. (1 interview with 13onze15 member) 3) 政治・社会的文脈をも組み込んた包括的なトラウマ理解の社会適用─メンタルヘルスケアの準備とそのモニタリンク Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the International symposium "Invisible wounds" I organized March 6-8, was cancelled. It included a Psychological First Aid training and major conferences on trauma (David Cohen). Tokyo Olympics have been postponed urging to reorient this section to research both Tokyo Olympics and coronavirus with respect to the study of trauma.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
The slight delay affects section 3 of the investigations: indeed, due to the coronavirus epidemic, the International symposium "Invisble wounds" I organized March 6-8, was cancelled, and Tokyo Olympics postponed.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Section 1: A book chapter entitled "the End of the Clinic" will be published in 2020. I am working on two other papers to be published in 2021 and 2022. Section 2: I am working to finalize a paper about 13onze15 and need subsequent field interviews in 2020. Section 3: Although Tokyo Olympics and PFA training has been postponed, I plan to organize a similar symposium and training in February 2021. I am thinking about how to include the current coronavirus pandemic in the picture.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The international symposium I scheduled March 6-8 was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. An important portion of the budget was used to invite UCLA Prof. David COHEN.
