Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
Due to parental leave.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
As stated in previous year's report, I resumed my research in 4/2021. I planned to pick up where I left off in the first year by doing more on-site archival research, but due to the pandemic-related travel restrictions, I should focus more on online research and research in the Tokyo area for the time being. I plan to resume more on-site research once travel becomes more feasible. I also plan to present my research at an international conference, such as the annual meeting of the Association of Asian Studies in March 2022, whether online or on-site.

Causes of Carryover |
Because of the suspension of research due to parental leave, I did not use any research funds in fiscal year 2020. I will use the funds in fiscal year 2021 for research-related travel and purchasing materials.
